Manpreet Badal and Arora invite Industrialists for Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2019

Extending a personal invitation to entrepreneurs to participate in Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 to be organized at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) from December 5th to 6th, Punjab Finance Minister Mr Manpreet Singh Badal and Industries and Commerce Minister Mr Sunder Sham Arora said that this summit would be a milestone in exploring the tremendous business potential in the state.

They said that it would also act as a catalyst in creating synergy between Punjab and foreign investors, for pushing industrialization on fast track.

They told that due to industrial friendly policies of the state government, Punjab was already moving towards greater industrialization in a shift from the traditional agriculture based economy, which had already reached a point of saturation.

They informed that ever since the Capt Amarinder Singh government came to power in the state, various companies have invested more than Rs 50,000 crore in Punjab.

They said that an online mechanism was a revolutionary step that was facilitating the investors in getting the clearances, from the line departments, for setting up their units in the state.

They also said that a new Focal Point will be developed in Jalandhar for which suitable chunk of land is being found.

They said that monthly meeting by a senior officer of industry department will be held with the industrialists in Jalandhar to solve their issues.

They also announced road and sewage projects in Dhogri worth Rs 2.94 crores.

Likewise, they said that in order to benefit the industrialists, a centralized online inspection mechanism has been initiated as per which a Joint inspection of PPCB and Labour department was done, the report of which was available to the industrialists online within 48 hours.

They said that they are determined to create business-friendly environment for last two and half years and will leave no stone unturned to increase the income of the industrialists.

Additional Chief Secretary Industries Mrs Vini Mahajan also addressed the industrialists and said that Punjab Government is committed to provide ease of business to them. She also ensured the Industrialists to resolve their issues at the earliest.

Mr Rajat Agarwal, CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion gave a detailed presentation on various initiatives of the State government. He encouraged them to set up anchor units and assured that the government would provide full support in terms of infrastructure and speedy clearances.
