Sri Anandpur Sahab MP Manish Tewari has sought the revival and renovation of the NFL Hospital located at Nangal. He said, given the infrastructure the hospital has, after its renovation it can help in providing medical facilities to a large number of people in and around the area.
In a letter written to Virendra Nath Datt, Chairman, National Fertilisers Limited (NFL), Tewari said, the NFL hospital has the potential to become an excellent medical resource for the people of the region including areas such as Anandpur Sahab, Banga, Garhshankar in Punjab and Una in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh.
“The NFL Hospital is an excellent facility that is underutilized. Its building is spread over 16000 sq meters approximately, with a total capacity of 100 beds spread over tow floors including an isolation ward and private rooms with a capacity of 20 beds”, he said in the letter.
The MP observed that considering the significant number of facilities already existing at the NFL Hospital in Nangal, it just required renovation and refurbishment. “Under these circumstances, you could consider either use Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) funds for the hospital’s refurbishment or you could explore a public private partnership model for the same”, he suggested to the NFL Chairman.
