Congress spokesperson and party candidate from Shri Anandpur Sahib, Manish Tewari today condemned the statement of Sam Pritoda on 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
He said, such statements deserve to be condemned unequivocally and have no place in Congress culture.
Tewari said, 1984 riots were not only condemnable but also a blot on humanity and no sane person can be dismissive of these.
“No matter how much time it takes, the guilty have to be punished and they must be punished”, he said, while adding, several culprits were convicted and jailed for life during the Congress regime itself.
He pointed out, while one of the culprits, Sajjan Kumar was convicted during the current regime, there were several others who were convicted and sentenced for life during the Congress regime.
