Khanna/Ludhiana, August 16, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership led by state president and Member of Parliament (MP) Bhagwant Mann, paid rich tributes to great martyr of Goa’s Struggle for freedom, Karnail Singh Issru on the occasion of his anniversary.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Mann said that more battle were required to be waged to make India a country of the martyrs’ dreams, saying earlier the country was got freed from the Britishers and now it had be freed from the ‘black’ Britishers.

Earlier, Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and other leaders, Payal halqa in-charge and core committee member Baljinder Singh Chaunda, and others leaders offered their tributes to the great martyr.

Fielding media questions, Mann condemned the demolition of the historic Sri Guru Ravidas temple by the BJP-controlled Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in Delhi, which exposed the anti-Dalit face of the BJP. He said the union government at the centre could have come up with a more viable solution to resolve the issue.

Expressing grave concern over the issue of water crisis, he said the state of Punjab had not a single drop of water to spare to quench the thirst of others, stating that the situation had emerged due to the anti-Punjab policies of the Congress, Akali Dal-BJP governments, stating that Punjab was on the verge of becoming a desert soon.

Other prominent leaders of the party who were present on the occasion included Jameel-Ul Rehman, Rupinder Singh Happy, Rashpinder Singh, Navjot Singh Jarg, Onkar Singh Chauhan, Anil Dutt Fauzi, Lachhman Singh Grewal and other leaders of the party.
