In a major sigh of relief three cases out of total six from Jalandhar which were reported positive of Covid 19 earlier were found negative today after which all the three patients, who were in close contact with late Mr Baldev Singh, were discharged from the local civil hospital.
The three persons Mr Harjinder Singh, Mrs Baljinder Kaur and Mr Hardeep Singh hailed from village Virk and were in close contact of late Mr Baldev Singh who had died of Corona virus. All the three patients were admitted to Civil Hospital Phillaur on March 20 after they were found asymptomatic and subsequently were shifted to Civil Hospital Jalandhar on March 24 after their tests were found positive. A specialised team of doctors led by Senior Medical Officer
Dr. Kashmiri Lal treated these patients in Civil Hospital for 14 days.
After treatment at the civil hospital there samples were again sent to Government Medical College Amritsar on April 6 in which their report was found negative. Similarly another sample was also sent on April 7 for confirmatory test in which again their report was found negative. After which they were finally discharged from the local civil hospital today.
The patients expressed complete satisfaction over the treatment given to them in the Civil hospital. They thanked all the medical and Para medical staff who took care of them in last couple of days. The patients also expressed their sincere gratitude to the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for making elaborate arrangements to take care of the patients in this hour of crisis.
Meanwhile, complementing the team of Doctors who have ensured the treatment to these patients, Dr Gurinder kaur Chawla Civil surgeon Jalandhar and Dr Mandeep kaur medical superintendent civil hospital Jalandhar said that it was a major shot in arm,in the ongoing fight against this pandemic.
They said that with the sheer commitment of the medical experts and the will power of every individual Punjab in general and Jalandhar in particular would win the fight against this pandemic. They said that Punjab government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was fully committed to save the Punjabis from this pandemic.
Meanwhile, Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that it was a moment of pride and satisfaction for them that these patients have recovered. They said that now three more patients including one admitted today were undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital for Covid 19. They said that the Doctors and Para medical staff were performing their duty zealously in this hour of crisis.
