While lashing out at Akali leader Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu today said that leaders like Grewal have no locus standi to question honest leaders like Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu.
In a press statement issued here today, MP Bittu said that Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal is issuing frivolous statements merely to save his long lost political ground.
“It is more like a political gimmick because Grewal now wants to contest Assembly elections and want to show his prominence in the Akali Dal, which is still not coming out of the shock of BJP disowning them,” quipped Bittu.
He further said that Grewal made a mockery of himself while addressing the press conference yesterday, in which several senior Akali leaders were present, and not a single of them nodded in approval on the allegations being levelled against Bharat Bhushan Ashu.
Bittu said that everyone knows about the honesty and credibility of Bharat Bhushan Ashu, who has not lost even a single election since the year 1997. “This clearly shows that Ashu has been accepted year after year by the people of Ludhiana. Such statements clearly show the frustration of Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal,” said Bittu.
