MAFA Summer Camp and Football League Tournament: Team Mavericks Clinch overall trophy

The Mad About Football Academy (MAFA) in Bathinda concluded its summer Football League Tournament with exhilarating enthusiasm among football enthusiasts.

The MAFA organized a month-long summer camp in June, drawing 130 passionate young footballers eager to enhance their skills. The highlight of the event was the four-day league tournament held at the end of the camp, where players showcased their abilities across three age-based divisions: Atoms (Under-11), Electrons (U-13) and Colts (U-15).

Atoms Division:

Mavericks secured the top spot with 6 points and a goal difference of +4, narrowly surpassing Matadors who also secured 6 points but with a lower goal difference. Team Mavericks clinched the Overall Best Team Trophy for their exceptional performance across all divisions.

Individual Awards: Golden Boot – Gurshaan Singh, Best Defender – Vivaan, Golden Glove – Devkirat, Best Player – Hunar.

Electrons Division : – The Thunders emerged victorious with 7 points and a goal difference of +2.

Individual Awards: Golden Boot (shared) – Gurfateh Singh Sidhu and Abhaypartap Singh, Best Defender – Noordeep Singh, Golden Glove – Aaravjot Singh, Best Player – Hanish Goyal.

Colts Division: The Thunders led with 6 points and a goal difference of +1.

Individual Awards: Golden Boot (shared) – Kartike and Parwan, Best Defender – Rajpreet Singh, Golden Glove – Arshpreet Singh, Best Player – Agampartap Singh.

The tournament concluded with a vibrant prize distribution ceremony where the chief guest Smt. Kiranpreet Kaur (Brain behind MAFA and avid football lover) presented trophies and certificates to all participants. Awards included individual honors such as Golden Boot, Golden Glove, Best Defender and Best Player.

The whole program was organized under the meticulous supervision of Renowned Football Coaches Ajaypreet Singh Behniwal, Alamjot Singh Brar and Navdeep Singh Sidhu, while senior MAFA members Dupinder Singh Dhillon and Karamveer Singh Grewal left no stone unturned to make the event a grand success. Organizing team members Maninderpal Singh, Lalit Kumar, Robin Saini, Gursimran Singh and Deepak Yadav also worked very hard.

The event not only celebrated football prowess but also emphasized MAFA’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sportsmanship in Bathinda’s football community.
