In view of the rising number of positive COVID 19 cases in the district, Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Sharma has informed that the residents are advised not to visit the government offices for any work and should instead submit their applications/complaints/memorandums through email/whatsapp/call.
In the orders issued here today, Mr Sharma said that some government officials have tested positive for Covid 19 last week. He said that the redressal of problems of residents is also necessary, but the safety and well being of government officials cannot be ignored as well in public interest. He said that the number of positive cases is increasing with each passing day, and there is need to break the chain.
While exercising powers under Epidemic Act 1897 and National Disaster Management Act 2005, the Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the residents to not visit government offices for any work and should instead submit their applications/complaints/memorandums through email/whatsapp/call.
He said that for any applications/complaints/memorandums related to Deputy Commissioner can be sent at [email protected] or [email protected], related to ADC (General) at [email protected], related to ADC (D) at [email protected], ADC (Jagraon) at [email protected]. SDM (East) at [email protected], SDM (West) at [email protected], SDM Jagraon at [email protected]. SDM Khanna at [email protected], SDM Payal at [email protected], SDM Raikot at [email protected], SDM Samrala at [email protected], Complaint Branch at [email protected] and regarding MA branch at [email protected].
He informed that besides, a complaint box has been installed on the main gate of District Administrative Complex, or the complaints/applications/memorandums can be sent at WhatsApp number 6284789829 or by calling at phone number 0161-2403100 from 9 am to 5 pm on any working day.
He clarified that the complainant can appear in person only in case of emergency cases. He also directed that hand sanitisers should be kept at the entry points of all government offices and officials should be deputed to check whether people visiting are wearing masks, hands are sanitised and their temperature is checked using thermal thermometers.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that the memorandums would be accepted only through email/whatsapp. He said that no organisations/person would be allowed to enter the offices for this purpose.
