Thousands of universities from across 99 countries participated in ‘Times Higher Education World University Rankings- 2022’ system this year, where Lovely Professional University (LPU) is ranked 8th amongst top universities of India for ‘Clinical & Health’ subject. For this prestigious ranking, LPU is covered in 601+ Band of the ranking system along with America’s Texas State University and AMU of India. Similarly, sharing the league with Canada’s University of Windsor and India’s University of Calcutta; LPU is also ranked 10th in Life Sciences for 601-800 Band.
LPU has secured several ranks among the best universities across the globe. The subject-wise ranking is released in different streams including physical sciences, life sciences, psychology, and clinical and health subjects. In comparison to several other universities, LPU has grabbed top places in India for the Clinical & Health and Life Sciences subjects.
Internationally, Harvard University has grabbed the first spot for Life Sciences; whereas, the University of Oxford has secured first ranking in Clinical and Health fields. Moreover, being covered in the overall 1000-1200 band along with IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Mandi and University of Mumbai; LPU is also ranked overall 37th in India, through this significant ranking system.
Addressing the congregation of faculty and staff members of the university, LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal further motivated all by sharing: “Indeed, we all at LPU are proud of this momentous moment by entering the prestigious world rankings system. Within its maiden year of participation, LPU has not only outshined hundreds of institutions of the country but also proved its mettle in the world by bagging a place along with the top few universities of the world. We are immensely happy on achieving this exemplary milestone. Now, we all should get more inspired to keep on aiming to achieve many other such accolades in the near future as well.”
This ranking process is considered the most diverse and gold standard university ranking system in the world. In fact, adding fresh ranking accolades to already gained top rankings from foremost ranking agencies, including MHRD’s NIRF 2021; LPU has steadily been proving to be the most trustworthy educational institution for promising students from across the world and the country.
