The District Administration of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar has invited residents of Mohali and nearby areas to attend a Light and Sound Show dedicated to the supreme martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the great martyrs Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dyal Das Ji. The event, being organized by the Government of Punjab, will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 5:30 PM at Saras Mela Ground, Sector 88, Mohali.
On Monday evening, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Geetika Singh reviewed the final arrangements at the venue along with district officers. She informed that all preparations have been completed and stated that the program will offer the Sangat an inspiring glimpse into the life, teachings, and sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
ADC Mrs. Singh appealed to the residents to attend the event with their families to pay homage to the great Gurus and martyrs. “Such occasions are rare and provide an opportunity to connect with our Gurus’ message of sacrifice, compassion, and universal brotherhood,” she said.
Prior to the main show, renowned Dhadi Jathas will perform Gurbani Kirtan and narrations from Sikh history.
Mrs. Singh further informed that the district will also accord a grand welcome to the Nagar Kirtan of Malwa Zone–2, which will proceed from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo to Sri Anandpur Sahib. The Nagar Kirtan will reach Mohali on November 21, where it will be ceremoniously received and will have an overnight stay before continuing its onward journey on November 22.
Highlighting the spiritual importance of the event, she said that the Light and Sound Show organized by the Punjab Government symbolizes the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and the timeless Sikh values of faith, righteousness, and humanity. She urged the Sangat to participate in large numbers to make the event a grand success.
Among those present during the review were SDM Mohali Damanpreet Kaur, Assistant Commissioner (General) Dr. Ankita Kansal, DSP Harsimran Singh Bal, Naib Tehsildar Harsh Garg, Assistant Commissioner (MC) Ranjiv Kumar, Abhishek Puri from the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and other officers of the district administration.
