Kisan Shakti has power to wipe out BJP: Sukhbir Badal

Nawansheher, January 19, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Kisan Shakti had the power to wipe out the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) even as he maintained the centre was not sincere towards the farmers and asserted that the three member committee formed by the apex court could not play any constructive role in resolving the crisis following the central government’s refusal to repeal the three Agricultural laws.

Addressing newsmen after ward level meetings in Nawansheher, Banga and Phagwara the SAD President said the SAD would utilise the forthcoming parliamentary session to hold meetings with like minded parties to work towards restoration of the federal structure in the country.

He also asked the BJP government not to use the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against farmer leaders saying the NIA was used to counter terrorism and should not be misused.

Mr Sukhbir Badal also took on chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh forcefully, saying the latter had been found to be the worst performing chief minister in the history of the State by an independent agency following a survey of the State.

He said Capt Amarinder had received only nine per cent approval ratings indicating as many as 91 per cent people had already rejected him. “In another one year Capt Amarinder will achieve the record of cent per cent rejection”, he added.

Speaking about the municipal elections, Mr Badal said Congress legislators and officers who were discriminating against the opposition and even getting false cases registered against them would have to face the music once the SAD government was sworn-in in 2022.

“We will form a Judicial Commission once we assume power and ask it to submit a report on all false cases registered by officers within three months. Prompt action will be taken against such officers”, he added.

He also warned officers against committing wrong doings in registering voters and making wards saying they would be made accountable once the SAD government came into power.

The SAD President, who was accompanied by senior leaders Sohan Singh Thandal and Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, also visited the residence of senior Akali leader Chaudhary Nand Lal whose son Ch Ram Pal passed away recently, at village Karimpur Dhiani and paid his condolences to the bereaved family.

Others present on the occasion included Dr Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, Jarnail Singh Wahid, Sarwan Singh Kular and Baldev Singh Khaira & Budh Singh Blakipur.
