To commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a soulful Kirtan Darbar was organized today at Gurdwara Sri Singh Sabha, Zirakpur by the district administration.
The event drew large participation from devotees and dignitaries, who gathered to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji for upholding the values of faith, freedom, and humanity.
MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa attended the Kirtan Darbar and bowed his head in reverence at the Guru’s Charan, seeking blessings for peace, harmony, and the welfare of all.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Randhawa said, “The unparalleled sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stands as a beacon of courage and righteousness for the entire world.
The protection of human rights, religious freedom, and the dignity of mankind owes its roots to His divine vision and fearless stand against tyranny. The Sikh Gurus have shown us that service to humanity and the defence of truth are the true essence of life. Under their guidance, we must continue to work selflessly for the welfare of all.”
The spiritual ambience of the programme was enhanced by melodious Gurbani Kirtan rendered by Bhai Shaukeen Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi, Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, and Bhai Beant Singh Ji of Patiala, who enthralled the Sangat with divine hymns and enlightening Katha.
The Kirtan Darbar, held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, witnessed the presence of SDM Derabassi Amit Gupta, prominent local citizens, and a large number of devotees from across the region who joined in collective prayer for Sarbat Da Bhala.
The event served as a poignant reminder of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s timeless message of compassion, sacrifice, and universal brotherhood, inspiring the Sangat to uphold the values of truth and righteousness.(Agency)
