Kejriwal’s silence on anti-farmer black-laws speaks volume of AAP-BJP alliance: Jakhar

Chandigarh, September 15, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Sunil Jakhar has accused the Aam Aadmi Party of betraying Punjab by adopting double standards on farming laws.

He said on Wednesday that the leaders of AAP state unit were shedding crocodile tears while AAP national leader Arvinder Kejriwal maintained a studded silence on the issue.

PPCC chief said that AAP’s failure to take a clear stand on the issue of “farming reforms” laws proved that there was a secret alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Narendra Modi-led central government on this issue. Due to Kejriwal’s blunt silence on the farming laws, the dual role of this party has been exposed, he added.

Claiming that the Punjab government has never supported these laws, he said that the Captain Amarinder Singh led govt had continuously lodged its strong protest on the issue and the Punjab Vidhan Sabha also registered its protest.

He said that AAP state leader Harpal Singh Cheema was trying to mislead people on the issue. AAP had always worked against the interest of Punjab and its convener Arvind Kejriwal never opposed the black laws on farming being introduced by the Modi government. Such an attitude proved that Aam Aadmi Party was secretly allied with the Modi government.

The state Congress president said that the Congress party has been and will continue to oppose the anti-farmer laws.
