Kejriwal reacts to Centre’s handling of farmers’ agitation

New Delhi, November 26, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)
Aam Aadmi Party National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has come out openly in support of farmers agitation against the farm laws brought in by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union Government.

The Delhi CM has now taken a clear stand on three controversial farm bills and criticized the way in which the agitation was being handled.

Kejriwal today took to Twitter to express solidarity with farmers and slam Centre for its inapt handling of the issue.

Kejriwal said all three new agri-bills were anti-farmer. The Union Government instead of withdrawing these laws was stopping farmers from exercising their right to protest. They are being subjected to onslaught of water cannons. This is tyrannical. It is the constitutional right of farmers to protest peacefully.

It is pertinent to mention here that AAP has been continuously opposing the new farm-laws in Punjab but Kejriwal did not accede to the demand of opposition parties including Congress and SAD, to pass a resolution against the new farm bills in Delhi Assembly.
