AAP national Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today inducted and welcomed former IPS officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh in Aam Aadmi Party and announced that a Sikh leader will be the CM face of the party.
Kejriwal who flew from Delhi to Amritsar today, specially to induct former IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, said that Punjab was the only state where a Sikh can possibly become a CM. He said the AAP thinks that this is the right of the Sikhs to have a Sikh Chief Minister in the state.
He said that the choice of Sikh CM face would be such that Punjabis would feel proud of the personality. He said the party was in the process of selection of a CM face and would announce the name in due course of time.
Welcoming Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Kejriwal said he was an upright man and and officer of the impeccable integrity.
Those present included Punjab President Bhagwant Mann, LoP Harpal Cheema, Punjab Affairs Incharge Jarnail Singh, Punjab Affairs co-incharge Raghav Chadha and several others.
