Kapil Sibal quits Congress, files Rajya Sabha nomination as Independent

New Delhi, May 25, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
In yet another blow to Congress, Kapil Sibal today announced that he has quit Congress.

Kapil Sibal, was today in Lucknow, to file nomination papers for Rajya Sabha.

Talking to media persons, Sibal said that he had submitted his resignation from the Congress on May 16 and requested media folks not to address him as Senior Congress leader anymore.

Sibal said that he has filed his nomination as an independent candidate and he was greatful to Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan who have lent him support.
