Kahlon exhorts Sikhs to ensure quality education for their children for getting top bureaucratic posts

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Mr. Jagdip Singh Kahlon has exhorted Sikh community to ensure quality education for their children to help them acquire top bureaucratic posts in the country and thus community will be high spirits.

Addressing a Gurmat samagam on occasion of third centenary birth anniversary of Baba Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, Mr. Jagdip Singh Kahlon said that though Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur had established their kingdoms using swords as their tool but now a days it if education which is key to success in life.

He said that Sikh community can be high spirits only when their children will attain high posts in bureaucracy and other services in the country. He said that it is high time when Sikh community should work hard to ensure that their children succeed in life. He said that Sikh organisations and Institutions should also work to provide maximum facilities to Sikh children to enable them to succeed in life.

Talking about Sikh history, Mr. Jagdip Singh Kahlon said that everyone in Delhi knows about Mori gate and Tees Hazari court but no one had known history behind them. He said that it was only when DSGMC organised a function at Red fort and told people about how Sikh Generals Baba Baghel singh, Baba Jassa Singh Ramgarhia and Baba Jass Singh Ahluwalia had entered Red fort by making a passage (mori) in walls of Red fort to defeat Mughal ruler Shah Alam II.

He said that army of 30 thousand soldiers had stationed at place which is known as Tees Hazari. He said that Sikh forces had unfurled Khalsa flag at Red Fort from where orders to martyr Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib were issued. He said that not only Sikh soldiers unfurled Khalsa flag but also took Mughal seat (Takht o Taus) at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and it is still lying at Bugga Ramgarhia in Sri Darbar Sahib complex.

He said that now it is high time to save and print our history and ensure its reach to every house then only Sikh community will be in high spirits. He said that it was collective responsibility of Sikh community to save our rich history and culture.

Mr. Kahlon also congratulated Pritpal Singh, Gurbhej Singh and their entire time for successfully organising this event. He also welcomed Sikh clergy including Singh Sahib Giani Raghuvir Singh, Sant Joga Singh, Sant Baba Narinder Singh, Baba Balbir Singh Budha Dal and other high priests.

On the occasion Dr. Jaspal Singh former Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University, Tarlochan Singh former MP, DSGMC member Harjit Singh Pappa, Kanwaljit Singh Jolly, Kanwaljit Singh Ajrana, Ravinder Kaur Ajrana executive member HSGMC and Bhupinder Singh Asandh were also present.
