Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, DCP Investigation Sh. Manpreet Singh, ADCP-II Sh. Harinder Singh Gill, and ACP West Sh. Sarvanjit Singh, the team of SHO PS Division No. 05 Jalandhar, has successfully solved a recent murder case within just one day, arresting the accused.
CP Jalandhar informed that on 31.07.2025, *FIR No. 104 u/s 103(1) BNS was registered at Police Station Division No. 5, Jalandhar, based on the statement of Raju Kumar, son of Dhanni Ram,* resident of Manoopura, Police Station Baruraj, District Muzaffarpur (Bihar), currently residing at Bittu’s house, Street No. 2, Ishwar Nagar, Kala Singha Road, Gha Mandi, Jalandhar.
The complainant reported that his brother Rahul was murdered by Suraj Kumar, son of Ramesh Yadav, resident of Basti Sheikh, Jalandhar, due to a minor personal dispute. Upon receiving information about the murder, the police team swiftly initiated action and *on the same day, arrested the accused Suraj Kumar from Kot Sadiq Puli and recovered the knife used in the murder* from his possession.
CP Jalandhar emphasized that the Commissionerate Police will continue its zero-tolerance policy against crime, ensuring that individuals involved in such unlawful activities face strict legal consequences.
