The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police have achieved a major breakthrough by solving the robbery case at a goldsmith shop in Bhargo Camp Nagar and arresting four accused, including the individual who provided them shelter, from Ajmer (Rajasthan).

Sharing details, Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, said that FIR No.167 dated 30.10.2025 under Sections 309(4), 3(5) BNS and 25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bhargo Camp, Jalandhar, on the complaint of Ajay Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, Resident of 72-A, Avtar Nagar, Jalandhar. The complainant reported that on October 30, 2025, around 10 a.m., three unidentified persons committed an armed robbery at his shop, Vijay Jewellers, at gunpoint.

Acting promptly on the incident, special police teams were constituted under the supervision of Sh. Manpreet Singh Dhillon (DCP/Investigation), Sh. Jayant Puri (ADCP/Investigation), Sh. Harinder Singh Gill (ADCP-II), Sh. Amarbir Singh (ACP/Crime), and Sh. Sarwanjit Singh (ACP/West). The teams comprised police teams from the CIA Staff, Special Cell, Crime Branch, and PS Bhargo Camp.

Through meticulous examination of CCTV footages, use of technical intelligence, and human intelligence inputs, the police identified the culprits and traced their movements. It was revealed that after committing the robbery, all three accused fled towards Rajasthan. Further investigation reveals that the trio had been provided shelter by Gaurav, son of Kamal Singh, resident of 320/9, Hathi Batta, District Ajmer (Rajasthan).

Acting on this information, the police teams conducted a raid near Brahma Temple, Pushkar, District Ajmer (Rajasthan), and successfully arrested all four accused persons.

The arrested accused will be produced before the Hon’ble Court, and police remand will be sought for further in-depth interrogation to uncover additional details related to the crime.

CP Jalandhar reaffirmed that the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police are fully committed to maintaining law and order in the city and stated that no person involved in any unlawful
activity will be spared.
