Continuing its relentless fight against drugs, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has arrested eight individuals linked to drug trafficking activities and seized 65.54 grams of heroin. This operation underscores the ongoing efforts to combat substance abuse and dismantle drug networks in the region.
Divulging the details, Commissioner of Police, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur said that the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar is intensifying its crackdown on drug networks day by day. In a major operation yesterday, the police arrested 8 individuals, 4 of whom were previously associated with drug trafficking networks.
As a result of these arrests, eight FIRs have been registered under the NDPS Act, and 65.54 grams of heroin recovered. Additionally, four drug addicts have been admitted to de-addiction centers for treatment, offering them an opportunity to rebuild their lives.
She reaffirmed that Jalandhar Police will leave no stone unturned in its mission to create a safer, drug-free city.
