Contributing towards equipping the cops well to combat the ongoing Covid 19, the Jalandhar Improvement Trust (JIT) today gave Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits to the Senior Superintendent of Police Jalandhar (Rural) Mr. Navjot Singh Mahal.
On the directions of the Chairman of Jalandhar Improvement Trust Mr. Daljeet Singh Ahluwalia, the Executive Officer of the trust Mr. Jatinder Singh and youth Congress leader Mr. Kaku Ahluwalia handed over the kits to the Senior Superintendent of Police.
The Executive Officer and Youth congress leader praised the Jalandhar (Rural) Police for making an immense contribution in saving the precious lives of people by maintaining law and order on one hand and by awakening the people against Corona virus on the other. They said that the force was on the frontline of performing their duty due to which they had decided to hand over these PPE kits to the officers.
Welcoming the initiative, the Senior Superintendent of Police said that these kits were of immense help for the frontline staff and officers deployed on duty in the field. He said that these kits could be helpful in ensuring that the cops discharge their duty well at the vulnerable places especially in the current time of crisis. Mr. Mahal said that the Police force was fully geared up to combat this problem effectively adding that no stone was being left unturned for this noble cause.
On the occasion Superintendent of Police Mr. RPS Sandhu was also present.
