Jalandhar DC, CP exhort youth to be ambassadors of ideology of Dr. Ambedkar

Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today called upon the youth to be the ambassadors of the ideology of Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar for carving out a society based on ideals of equality, communal harmony and brotherhood.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating a blood donation camp organized by the Ambedkar Sena here today to mark pre-nirwan diwas of Baba Sahib Dr. Ambedkar at local Ambedkar Bhawan, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police, accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh, said that the ideology of Dr. Ambedkar needs to be disseminated at every nook and corner of the society for which the youth could play a pivotal role.

They said that the youth must follow the ideology propounded by Baba Sahib Dr Ambedkar thereby realizing his dream. Mr. Sharma and Mr. Bhullar said that this would be real and befitting tribute to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.

The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that Baba Sahib’s contribution in drafting the Constitution of the world’s biggest democracy was unique and unparallel.

Both the officers said that Baba Sahib’s entire life was dedicated to achieve the objectives of social justice, equality and emancipation of poor and down trodden. They said that Baba sahib took several initiatives to ensure empowerment of the powerless which was exemplary across the globe.

The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that Dr. Ambedkar was one of the most towering personalities in the entire world. They further said that Indian Constitution was the result Dr. Ambedkar’s hard work, dedication and far sightedness. Both the officers called upon the youth to make strenuous efforts for carving out an egalitarian society for securing justice and equality for all the sections of society rising above the petty considerations of caste, colour and creed.

On the occasion District Welfare Officer Mr. Rajinder Singh, Tehsil Welfare Officer Ms. Sarabjeet Kaur and others were also present.

Earlier, the leaders of foundation including Mr. Raj Kumar Raju, Mr. Sukhwinder Kotli, Mr. Jassi Talhan, Mr. Balwinder Bugga, Mr. Jaswinder Bal, Mr. Jasbir Jassi, Mr. Tarlok Vendal, Mr. Ram Lal, Mr. Mahinder Mehru, Mr. Keemti Lal and others welcomed the dignitaries
