Jalandhar CP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar reviews Law & Order situation, inspects vulnerable points

Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Friday reviewed the law and order situation in the city during a special checking of police nakas, shopping malls, and other vulnerable points under the jurisdiction of the Police Commissionerate.

To take stock of the law and order situation in the city, the Commissioner of Police accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police Gurmeet Singh, reiterated the firm commitment of the Commissionerate Police to maintain and law at every cost.

Bhullar directed the officers/officials to beef up security arrangements at all vulnerable places. He said that Commissionerate police have been keeping close vigil to ensure the safety and security of the people.

Commissioner of Police said that all security measures have been stepped up in the city to avert any mishap.

He said police teams/PCR staff have been monitoring and patrolling in the city round the clock as these places witness high footfall on week-ends including shopping malls, markets, restaurants, and others.

He added that every effort would be made to make the security system more responsive and efficient.

He said that the major focus of the Commissionerate Police was on the prevention of crime and instilling a sense of security amongst the residents. He told the officers to ensure that the night curfew was strictly imposed in the city. He said that no one would be allowed to take the law into their hands at any cost.

Meanwhile, he also briefed the officers about the necessary steps to be taken for strict enforcement of night curfew.

He stated that a night curfew has been imposed to check the spread of Coronavirus in the district and should be implemented in the right letter and spirit.
