Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Light and Sound Show scheduled to be held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on November 4, 2025. The event is being organised as part of the Punjab Government’s continued efforts to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
Dr. Aggarwal minutely examined various arrangements for the mega event, including security, traffic management, venue cleanliness, toilet blocks, parking arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, deployment of medical teams, and availability of drinking water. He directed the police and civic departments to make elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the event so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
Divulging details, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the 45-minute Light and Sound Show will present a captivating digital depiction of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life, legacy, teachings, and supreme sacrifice. “The presentation will offer devotees an immersive experience that beautifully portrays Guru Sahib’s philosophy of peace, tolerance, and universal brotherhood,” he said.
The DC further said that this show will serve as a profound tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s enduring message of humanity and compassion. The entry for the show will start at 5pm on November 4, and the devotees can enter without any pass as it will be a open entry for everyone. Notably, this Light and Sound show will be conducted by the teams of Tourisam and Cultural Affairs Department.
Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh, ADC Navdeep Kaur, ADCP Traffic Gurbaaz Singh, Assistant Commissioner Rohit Jindal, representatives of various departments, and a team from Tourisam and Cultural Affairs Department.
