Jalandhar Administration to issue 157 Licenses of Stamp Vendors: Ghanshyam Thori

The district administration has invited applications from interested persons for issuing 157 licenses of the stamp vendors (Ashtam Farosh) in its various sub-divisions of Jalandhar.

Disclosing further details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that these 157 licenses would be given in Jalandhar-1, Jalandhar-2, Nakodar, Phillaur, and Shahkot sub-divisions. He said that a written exam would be held on October 31 and aspirants can apply on WWW.AF.PTUEXAM.COM/ for the stamp vendors’ licenses from October 11 and 25. He told that the written exam would be based on matriculation syllabus and later interview would be conducted.

He said that candidate must be resident of the Jalandhar district only and must be matric pass from any recognized board.

Deputy Commissioner appealed the interested candidates to take maximum benefit of the opportunity and added that these licenses are being issued to ensure that maximum unemployed youths get the licenses.

A committee headed by ADC (General) is supervising the entire recruitment process, he said.

Pointing out further, ADC Amarjit Singh Bains said that no the exam would be conducted in a transparent manner by Punjab Technical University comprising written test of 70 marks, followed by an interview having 10 numbers adding that 20 points would be given for marks in 10th exam. He further added that the under Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission these licenses would be issued to youths to provide them employment opportunities.
