Jalandhar Admin constitutes 696 teams of Police & Civil Staff to keep an eye over people under ‘Home Quarantine’

The Deputy Commissioner Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Navjot Singh Mahal today said that as a part of ‘Mission Fateh’ launched by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh 696 teams of the Police and Civil Administration would keep a strict check on people violating ‘Home quarantine’.

Chairing a meeting here at District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police of said that those people who were coming from outside and were symptomatic were put in Home quarantine so as to check spread of the Covid 19.

They said that this was part of the ‘Mission Fateh’ started by the Chief Minister to spread awareness against Corona Virus thereby checking its spread. The officers said that in order to ensure that the ‘Home quarantine’ people don’t endanger the lives of others by violating the quarantine period the civil and Police administration have decided to take strict action against the offenders.

The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that 696 teams of the Civil and Police administration have been constituted to keep a strict vigil over people ‘Home Quarantined’ in the district. They said that 202 teams have been constituted at Shahkot, 232 in Phillaur, 150 in Nakodar, 41 in Jalandhar I and 71 in Jalandhar II. The officers said that these teams have been directed to take strict punitive action against those violating the Home Quarantine.

The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that those people violating the quarantine would be booked under several provisions of law besides being fined for it.

They said that any violator would not be spared at any cost and severest of severe action would be taken against the flouters of the norms. The officers also solicited support of the people to keep an eye over any violation of Home quarantine by such people.
