Slamming the Modi government for acting as ‘chokidar’of big companies and guarding their financial interests,the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Mr Sunil Jakhar today said that in last 20 days the Modi government had enhanced rates of Petrol and Diesel 20 times.
In a statement issued here today, the President of Punjab Congress said that it clearly reflects that Modi’s priority was big companies rather than common man. He said that the primary aim of this step was bestow the benefit on selected large corporates. Mr Jakhar said that Modi government has not only increased the rates of petrol and diesel but the cyclinder of domestic LPG gas has also been enhanced by Rs 50 thereby putting a huge burden on common man.
The President of Punjab Congress said that the decisions taken by the centre government were affecting the common man, farmers, poor, shopkeepers and other sections of society.
He said that on one hand the centre was ignoring the voice of lakhs of farmers who were sitting at Delhi to demand revoking of anti-farmers agriculture laws and on the other hand it was burdening the common man with massive hike in petrol and diesel.
Mr Jakhar said that increase in price of petrol and diesel was making it difficult for every starta of society to survive whereas LPG’s hike has made it difficult for common man to even run their kitchen.
The President of Punjab Congress said that the Union government should immediately roll back the hike in price of LPG, Petrol and Diesel. Likewise, he said that respecting the public sentiment the anti-farmers bill must also be revoked immediately.
