Chandigarh, Feb 14, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Prominent farmer leader, Chandigarh State President of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha S. Rajinder Singh Badheri has said that the present President of Punjab Congress Sunil Jakhar has not been able to keep all the factions united; So now a Jatt Sikh leader should be made the president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. During a meeting with Harish Rawat, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, In-Charge of Punjab Congress affairs, Mr. Badheri also welcomed the appointment of Subhash Chawla as the President of Chandigarh Territorial Congress.

In a statement issued here today, S. Badheri said that only a Jatt Sikh leader in Punjab could compete with the leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal and its Badal family and Aam Aadmi Party. All other parties have taken special care of this. That is why the Congress should immediately consider the name of a senior leader.

Mr. Badheri also said that now the Punjab Assembly elections were approaching. Therefore, the Congress party will have to take a decision in this direction immediately. The party can provide a better job for Hindu Jat leader Sunil Jakhar.

Mr. Badheri further said that the Congress would have to put an end to internal factionalism at all costs to form a government in Punjab again in 2022. That is why a competent Jatt Sikh leader should be immediately handed over the state command of the Congress.

He said that the people of Punjab were now fully with the Congress party and if a stronger president could establish internal unity in the party, it would be an added benefit to the Party.
