For the better liaisoning between the Students, Unaided Colleges, Management and Government, Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) comprising 13 different Associations of Punjab hold elections for the first time.
To overcome the crisis faced by the Education sector, to uplift the standard of education in the Institutions of Punjab and to resolve the problems being faced by the Institutions by bridging the gap between the Students, Parents, Staff, Management and the Government”, the Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) was formed.
In the elections Chancellor, Chandigarh University, S. Satnam Singh Sandhu has been appointed as the Chief Patron, Mr. Charanjit Singh Walia, President, Nursing Colleges Association & S. Manjit Singh Senior, Vice President, PUTIA as the Patrons.
Other members of the JAC were also appointed unanimously as follow: President, Federation School Associations, S. Jagjit Singh as the President; President, PUTIA, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal as the Chairman; President, PUCA, Dr. Anshu Kataria as the Co-Chairman; S. Nirmal Singh, ETT Federation as the Sr. Vice President; Mr. Jasnik Singh, B.Ed. Association; Dr. Satwinder Sandhu, B.Ed Association GNDU Colleges and Sh. Vipan Sharma, Confederation of Unaided Colleges Association as the Vice Presidents; S. Sukhmander Singh Chatha, President, Punjab Unaided Degree Colleges Association (PUDCA) as General Secretary; Mr. Shimanshu Gupta, ITI Association as the Finance Secretary and S Rajinder Dhanoa, Polytechnic Association as the Secretary of the Association.
