Hyderabad, Sept 26, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

Name of an IPS officer has cropped up in connection with a case of corruption against an ACP being probed by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The ACB which earlier claimed that Malkajgiri ACP Y Narasimha Reddy had amassed assets worth Rs.71-crore has now obtained information that Reddy had illegal properties worth Rs.100-crore.

During the course of ACB investigation, an IPS officer’s name has also cropped up, it has been learnt. The Bureau is verifying the details about the officer’s links with the accused ACP.

However, the ACB officials are tight-lipped over the identity of the IPS officer and may come up with the details at a later stage and after further verification regarding the alleged activities of the IPS officer.

Sources said, the ACP had not only himself amassed wealth by indulging in property related matters, but also helped the IPS officer procure lands, where he constructed a building and a farmhouse.

Reddy, who was arrested a few days ago, had allegedly forcibly taken over assigned lands that were allocated to weaker sections at different places even as, the rules say that the ownership of assigned lands should not transferred.
