International Yoga Day 2022 celebrated at MRSPTU

International Day of Yoga was celebrated at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Bathinda on 21st June with great fervor and gaiety .

The programme was organised under the guidance and leadership of Commanding Officer of 20 Punjab Batalian NCC Col. K. S. Mathur.

The celebration was started with the assembly of cadets from various schools and colleges located in Bathinda.

As many as 150 cadets participated in this event. Along with the cadets, their family members were the part of this mega event. The staff, faculty and students of MRS-PTU and its constituent colleges were actively involved in experiencing the joy of yogic exercises.

On this occasion, Yoga Expert, Sh. Sukha Singh gave the demonstration and guided the audience to perform yoga in a methodical manner and as per the sequence mentioned in the Yoga Protocol issued by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

The address of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi was projected and his message was communicated to the audience. The Yoga protocol of around 45 minutes was followed just after the PM’s address and the gathering performed yoga postures and exercises.

MRS-PTU, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu and Registrar, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar congratulated the participants and urged them to make Yoga as their way of life.

Campus Director Prof. Sanjiv Aggarwal welcomed the guests and informed that the Yoga makes the life self disciplined and keep the body and mind healthy.

The celebration ended with the recitation of the National Anthem followed by refreshment.
