Innocent Hearts College of Education has recorded an outstanding performance in the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) B.Ed. Semester IV Examination (May 2026), achieving the highest average cumulative grade point average (CGPA) among education colleges in Jalandhar.
Adding to the institution’s success, student-teacher Geetika secured the ninth position in the GNDU merit list with an overall CGPA of 8.43.
The college also achieved a 100 per cent first division result, with 80 per cent of its student-teachers earning distinctions. Notably, 36 per cent of the students secured a CGPA of more than 8.0, reflecting the institution’s consistent academic standards.
Geetika topped the college with a CGPA of 8.43, followed by Puneet Kaur Rai, who secured the second position with 8.28 CGPA. Gursehaj Kaur and Mandeep Shahi jointly secured the third position with 8.18 CGPA each. Mehak Sharma and Kavita Giri shared the fourth position with 8.15 CGPA, while Simrandeep Kaur stood fifth with a CGPA of 8.13.
Expressing her happiness, Geetika credited the achievement to the guidance of the college leadership and faculty.
“I am really grateful for the guidance provided by our Principal and the support extended by my teachers for believing in me and inspiring me to achieve my goals,” she said.
Puneet Kaur Rai attributed her success to the encouragement of her family and the continuous support of the college faculty.
Executive Director (Colleges) Aradhana Bowry congratulated the successful students and appreciated the efforts of the teaching staff for maintaining high academic standards.
Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh also congratulated the achievers and encouraged the future teachers to continue enhancing their professional and teaching skills as they prepare to serve in schools.
