The NSS Unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated National Unity day on ‘Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ theme in order to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
A pledge taking ceremony was organized in which the faculty members and student-teachers took pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation INDIA and also strive hard to spread this message amongst their fellow countrymen.
The would-be teachers delivered extension lectures in their teaching practice schools on the present day threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country and solutions to such problems were discussed. Power point presentations on interesting facts about Sardar Patel were also highlighted.
Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh said that celebrating such occasions helps to foster a feeling of unity in diversity and provides an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength of our nation.
