An Industrial Park spread over 1320 acres of land will be set up soon in Bathinda to boost the overall development of the Malwa region, and it will also make the Bathinda industrial hub of the state. This was stated by Punjab Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal today after inaugurating various development projects.
Inaugurating the LED lights project at Fire Brigade Chowk in Bathinda on India’s Independence Day, Finance Minister Mr. Badal said that under this project, 24000 LED street lights are being set up in the city at the cost of Rs 16.6 crore.
The project, which is being developed with the help of the Bathinda Municipal Corporation will reduce electricity bills and enhance the beauty of the city.
The LED lights would have operationalized with computers, and a dedicated Control Room is being set up for this purpose. Faulty streetlights will be immediately identified in the control room, resulting in earlier resolution of the problem.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal also inaugurated Water Treatment Plant constructed at the cost of Rs. 1.91 crore at Industrial Growth Center. This plant would clean 5 million gallons of water per day, and with the commissioning of the plant, it will provide potable water to 1.5 lakh people.
Earlier, Finance Minister inaugurated a newly constructed park with pop-up sprinkler systems and CCTV cameras at Guru Ki Nagri. With the cost of Rs. 1.25 crore various other parks were being set up in the city in which pop up sprinkling system and CCTV cameras were being installed, Mr. Badal said.
Finance Minister Mr. Badal also inaugurated Phari Market constructed for 273 new pharis at the cost of Rs. 155 lakh at Grain Market.
