Indian Women’s Hockey Team creates history in Tokyo Olympics, Surjeet Hockey Society Congratulates players

The Surjeet Hockey Society has congratulated the Indian women’s hockey team for creating history by reaching the semi-finals of the Olympics, in progress at Tokyo.

Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner & Surjit Hockey Society President Ghanshyam Thori, Working President Pargat Singh, Secretary Iqbal Singh Sandhu, Chief P.R.O. Surinder Singh Bhapa in a joint statement congratulating the Indian women’s hockey team who made history by reaching the semi-finals for the first time by defeating three-time Olympic champions Australia in the Tokyo Olympics. The winning goal scored by Punjab’s drag flicker Gurjit Kaur.

They further said that this historic victory of the girls has honored the whole country. Society office bearers wished the team all the best for the upcoming matches and hoped that they will win the gold medal for the country by playing in the same planned manner.

On this occasion the office bearers of Surjit Hockey Society and players of Surjit Hockey Academy celebrated the victory on the playground.
