On Tuesday, India had recorded 12,584 new cases, the lowest single-day figure in over seven months. The country has been recording less than 20,000 daily new cases from the past eight days.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said 175 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,52,093. Since the last 22 days, less than 300 new deaths per day have been recorded in the country.
