IKGPTU students gets awareness on Healthy Lifestyle

Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University organized a seminar on “How to stay healthy and fit”. A renowned counsellor Ms Priyanka from Healthviser team, Jalandhar along with her team members Jaspreet, Manjot and Dr. Gurpreet conducted this seminar.

Dr. Ranbir Singh, Head of the department extended a floral welcome to the resource persons. Ms. Priyanka in her interaction stated that health doesn’t only mean to be physically fit but one should be both physically and mentally fit to stay healthy. It is very much important that we should be aware of what and when to eat. She emphasized on how to be healthy and adapt a healthy lifestyle. Along with that one should follow regular exercise and meditation to have a balanced and happy life.

Further, the team of the healthvisers did one to one counselling session with the students, in which many queries of the students were addressed.

In the end, HOD Dr. Ranbir Singh delivered vote of thanks to all the team members. He appreciated the speaker for imparting valuable knowledge on various diseases and how to cope up with those diseases by changing our diet. He said that whatever profession we choose, it is very important to be fit and healthy.

On this occasion Dr. Ekta Mahajan, Assistant Professor, Dr. Balbir kumar & other faculty members were present.
