Manoj Parida, a 1986 batch IAS officer of AGMUT Cadre and 5 other IAS officers have been transferred.
Parida who joined as Chandigarh Adviser on December 12, 2018.
The Appointments Committee of the Central Government Parida has been appointed as Chairman of National Authority of Chemical Weapons Convention, I n the rank and pay of Secretary to the Union Government, under the Cabinet Secretariat.
After getting his transfer orders, Manoj Parida said, “I am happy to get a chance to serve in Government of India at Secretary level. But I am happier that at least Corona is under Control in Chandigarh when I am leaving.”
A native of Odisha Parida did his schooling from Bhubaneswar and Masters in International Studies and Diploma in Social Work from JNU, Delhi.
Before joining as Adviser at Chandigarh, he had served as Chief Secretary in Puducherry from June 2015 to November 2017. He had also served as Additional Chief Secretary, Home, PWD and General Administration. He was thereafter transferred as Chairman-cum-MD of Delhi Financial Corporation.
The Government is however yet to appoint an officer as Advisor in place of Manoj Parida, who is yet to be relieved.
