A team of Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught a Clerk of Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), Hisar red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from the complainant.
The ACB has also booked Branch Manager, ESI, Hisar Harikishan on the charges of seeking bribe in lieu of performing official duty.
Sharing the information here today, a spokesperson of the ACB informed that arrested accused were identified as Krishan posted as Clerk in ESI Hisar. He was arrested on the complaint of Jai Bhagwan, a resident of Hisar district.
The complainant approached the ACB alleging that the both accused has demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 in lieu of releasing the maternity benefits of his wife.
The spokesman said that after verifying the complaint, the ACB formed a raiding team and caught the accused Krishan, Clerk red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses.
In this regard, a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against both the accused at ACB police station, Hisar. Further investigation is going on in this matter.
