Mathura MP and “Dream Girl” Hema Malini today won the hearts of the people of this constituency while taking out a road show along with union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal during the course of which she appealed to the people to vote for her “sister” for all round development of the constituency and not to be swayed by false promises.

Silver screen legend Hema Malini’s road show along with Mrs Harsimrat Badal received a stupendous response in the bazaar of Mansa and even later in Maur and Rama where she also addressed public gatherings. All along the way people lined up in thousands to meet and greet her and she was honoured at several places.

Atop an open vehicle Hema took the mike to appeal to people to vote for development. She said Mrs Harsimrat Badal had delivered on development be it bringing the prestigious AIIMS institute to Bathinda or even the Central University.

“Harsimratji has also done yeoman service to society through her charitable organization Nanhi Chhan which has reduced femal infanticide in the Malwa region and also given training to more than 12,000 women to stand up on their own feet”.

She simultaneously also urged the people to vote for PM Narendra Modi and his vision for India. “Modi ji has not only strengthened India with his firm policies but also made India count for itself in the comity of nations”.

Hema Malini wooed the people with her simple charms. She waved at the people and kept addressing them intermittently during the road show. Slogans of ‘vote kaithe paani hai – takdi te’ and ‘beeba teri soch te pahra dayanga thok ke’ rent the air at today’s road show and Hema also pitched in with jaikara ‘Bole so nihal – sat sri akal’.

She was honoured at several places by women and did not disappoint anyone. She even promised to bring Dharminder ji and Eesha with her next time she visits Mansa besides regaling the audience with her famous “Chal Dhanno teri izzat ka sawaal hai” dialogue.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Harsimrat Badal said “binti dono behna di manno te takdi choan nishan nu daba ke Shiromani Akali Dal nu jaitu banao”. Appealing to the people as a ‘Nimani Sewadar”, Mrs Badal said “I am confident that my appeal will find a place in your hearts and you will put your ‘yogdaan’ in the movement for progress and prosperity of our country under the leadership of the NDA government”.
