Senior Akali leader and former Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia said here today that “contrary to the Congress falsehoods, reports of both Justice Ranjit Singh Commission and the SIT filed by Kunwar Vijay Pratap never blamed the then Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal or Dy CM Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal in the police firing cases post sacrilege protests.
“In fact, both reports categorically and forcefully refused to indict Mr Parkash Singh Badal or Sukhbir Singh Badal for either the firing or the sacrilege incidents in question. Nowhere in the reports’ recommendations is either P S Badal or S S Badal found guilty of any wrongdoing on the allegations leveled against them by their political opponents.”
Mr Majithia quoted from the Commission’s report to substantiate this. He said SIT of KVS relied on the judicial Commission’s report and the HC judgment found no truth or merit in both.
The Akali leader reiterated the party’s open challenge to its critics in the Cong or AAP to submit to the Court in full public and media view any evidence which they claim that they have against Akali leaders on sacrilege. “ Maa da dudh peeta ta maidaan vich aake saboot pesh kro.”
“If they had or have this evidence but never produced it before the Khalsa Panth or SIT or the Court, then this is an act of betrayal and treachery against Shri Guru Granth Sahib and the Khalsa Panth. And it is a sacrilege not to use that evidence in order to punish the guilty. Captain, Jakhar, Sukhi Randhawa, Channi or Sidhu all owe an explanation to the Khalsa Panth and the judiciary why have they been hiding the evidence about those guilty of sacrilege,” said the Akali leader.
Mr Majithia produced pictorial and video evidence of Navjot Singh Sidhu touching the feet of “the Sauda Saadh Gurmit Ram Rahim and comparing him with Guru Nanak Dev ji, and said, “ this is the truth about the character of this hypocrite and “Bhakt of Ram Rahim.” Majithia said that Ram Rahim had committed a sacrilege by donning the robe associated with Si Guru Gobind Singh ji. And instead of being outraged by this, Sidhu himself compares Guru Nanak Patshah with this religious thug. ”
Turning to the sacrilege issue, Mr Majtihia said that the failure of the Kunwar Vijay Partap and Justice Ranjit Singh to indict and politically finish the Akali leaders marks the “the beginning of the divine justice.” Captain, Sidhu, Jakhar etc and their party must now get ready to face divine wrath for telling falsehoods on the sacred Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
“The brazen lies of Captain Amariner Singh, Jakhar, Randhawa, Pratap and Tript Rajinder Bajwa and the two Sidus, Balbir and Navjot Sidhu etc even about the reports of Justice Ranjit Singh( Retd) and their ‘obedient’ ex- police officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh is falsified by their own reports.
Commenting on the intraparty war in Congress, Mr Majithia said, Captain and his gang are enacting a drama of political differences on this issue. “The only reason why the Congress leaders had stared the “rainy frog song” is their knowledge that they face a humiliating rout in the forthcoming elections.”
The Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and his “jundali” were telling brazen lies even on the Commission and the SIT reports in order to throw dust in the eyes of the pious and devout Sikh masses on the painful issue of sacrilege. Both the Judicial Commission as well as Vijay Pratap and SIT have clearly, openly and categorically refused to blame the then Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal and Dy CM Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal in the firing or sacrilege cases.

These leaders are guilty of treating a sensitive issue of sacrilege merely a political soap opera at which Navjot Sidhu excels, beating his hollow breast and shedding oceans of fake tears. “He did the same at Bathinda during Lok Sabha poll rally, promising that he would not sleep until ‘Badals are hanged.’ Two years since then, no one heard anything about sacrilege from him. But now, the Congress leaders like him have started “rainy frog songs” knowing the humiliation and rot that they face in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha poll.
Mr Majithia quoted from the report of Justice Ranjit Singh on the firing incident in which the ex-judge has categorically stated that witnesses had confirmed that Mr Badal issued clear instructions to the administration that the protests against sacrilege must be allowed to go and there must be no use of force to stop them. “Yet Congmen led by Captain are shamelessly lying and telling the people that the Commission and the SIT found the then CM guilty in this regard.”
Mr Majithia strongly condemned the abuse of the Vigilance Bureau to falsely implicate CM’s political opponents in or outside the party. “No one knows the pain of the VB being abused as a tool of vendetta more than SAD does. The same Captain had used the same VB to book PSB and SSB in false cases and send them to jail. We oppose this draconian practice.”
Mr Majithia was addressing a press conference on what he described as “the extremely delicate and dangerous situation arising out of the wild spread of the Covid pandemic in Punjab. The Akali leader said that people in the state today had been left to their own fate by the ruling Congress party and tis government who is treating the victims especially the poor with cruel apathy.
He warned the government that Punjab was sitting virtually on a Covid explosion as the pandemic now threatens to hit the rural areas where a vast majority of our people live. The situation is extremely critical and alarming and all of us need to close ranks to save Punjabis. We can fight our political battles later. SAD will fully cooperate with the govt in anything it does to save our people. At this hour, all of us must be guided by the Guru’s vision and message to save humanity from the deadly virus.
