In one of the biggest ever seizure of drugs, Haryana Police has recovered over 17.12 quintals of ‘ganja patti’, worth Rs. 2 crore in the international market, from Mahendergarh district.
Giving this information here today, Haryana Police spokesperson informed that a police team during patrolling had got a tip-off about an abandoned canter parked near village Barara which may have narcotic substance.
After getting the input, police team raided the location. On suspicion, when boxes of disposable glass were removed, police found 33 plastic bags weighing a total of 17 quintal 12 kilogram 760 gram of ganja patti from the vehicle
A case has been registered against unidentified persons under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and a further probe is underway.
