International Nurses Day 2022 was organized by Department of Nursing, AIIMS Bathinda on 12th May, 2022 on the theme Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health.
This Day is celebrated around the world, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale every year.
At AIIMS Bathinda week long activities were organized to celebrate International Nurses Day that included: Symposium, Oath Ceremony by the first batch of BSc. (Hons) Nursing students, Declamation, Rangoli, Quotes Competition and Sports. Inauguration of International Nurses Day was presided over by Prof (Dr) Dinesh Kumar Singh, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Bathinda.
The Chief Guest of this program was Honorable Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal ji, Member of Parliament, Bathinda and Former Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing Industries. While addressing the gathering Smt. Badal emphasized on the importance of Nursing Profession and nurses contributions to the society especially during the corona pandemic.
Dr Kamlesh Kumari Sharma, Principal cum Professor, Nursing College, AIIMS Bathinda delivered welcome address, presented Nursing College report and administered oath to BSc. (Hons) Nursing students.
Respected Prof. (Dr.) D.K Singh, Executive Director and CEO, Prof. (Dr.) Satish Gupta, Dean and Prof. (Dr.) Lajya Devi Goyal, Officiating Incharge of Nursing Service, AIIMS Bhatinda congratulated nursing faculty, nursing officers and students of nursing college for the International Nurses Day 2022.
The events of the day culminated with a cultural eve full of entertainment.
