Cabinet Minister of Punjab, Mr. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O., today assisted villagers in filling a 50-foot-deep and 200-meter-wide pit caused by a landslide in Marar village, near Harike town in the Tarn Taran district.
In addition, the Cabinet Minister visited the site of another landslide in Kidian village, where land adjacent to the river had collapsed. He interacted with affected farmers and assessed the damage firsthand.
Senior IAS officers Mr. Basant Garg and Mr. Varun Roojam, along with Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rahul and SSP Mr. Deepak Pareek, were also present at the site.
On this occasion, Mr. Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. reviewed the ongoing relief work in the flood-affected areas, being carried out by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
The Cabinet Minister assured flood victims that the Punjab government is fully committed to providing them with all possible assistance.
