Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore has granted pardon to Manjit Singh Dhaner, who was undergoing life imprisonment in the 2001 Barnala Murder case.
Disclosing this here today, Punjab Jails Minister S Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa stated that orders signed by Governor in this regard pardoning Dhaner, whose appeal against conviction with life imprisonment was dismissed by SC in September earlier this year, we’re received today.
S Randhawa further said that an order in pursuance of orders passed by hon’ble Governor, Punjab has been issued by Principal Secretary Jails R Venkat Ratnam.
