‘Free Pilgrimate Train’ flagged off by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reaches Amritsar

The first-ever special train started by Delhi government for the ‘sangat’ under the Free Pilgrimage Scheme, which was flagged of by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from Safdarjung railway station on Friday, reached Amritsar station here on Saturday.

The pilgrims on board were accorded a rousing welcome on their arrival at Amritsar by a large number of party volunteers, led by Majha Zone President Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, President (Urban), Ashok Talwar and Vice-President Rajinder Palah.

On this occasion, Kuldeep Dhaliwal said that AAP government in Delhi took care of all sections of society without distinction, adding that board and lodging for pilgrims was the arranged by Delhi government at its own expenses.

He added that the special pilgrimage train will take these pilgrims to Sri Anandpur Sahib of July 15. He further informed the special pilgrimage train would leave for the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi from Delhi, next week.

On the occasion, the passengers appreciated the initiative of Delhi government. Other who were present on the occasion included Halqa In charge Dalbir Singh Tong, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Dr Inderpal, Saravjot, Youth Wing President Ved Prakash Bablu, Padam Anthony, Anil Mahajan, Vipin Kumar, Sohan Singh Nagi, Narinder Marwaha, Ajay Noel Masih.
