Former Punjab MLA Jassi Khangura quits Congress, sends Resignation to Sonia Gandhi

Former Punjab MLA Jasbir Singh Jassi Khangura has resigned from the primary membership of Congress party.

Sidhu was elected from Kila Raipur constituency and served as MLA from 2007 to 2012 has sent his resignation to party president Sonia Gandhi. He said he was with the Congress for last 20 years and his father, who had been with the party for last 60 years, was also quitting it concurrently.

Khangura has not given any reason for leaving the party but has instead thanked Sonia Gandhi for allowing him and his mother to contest elections in Punjab.
