Amritsar, February 25, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Looking at the tremendous response that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been receiving in the Majha region, people of repute are joining the party.

The AAP got a major boost in Amritsar when former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s cousin S.S Kohli, a retired commander, former deputy mayor of the city Om Prakash Gabbar joined the party along with his associates during a district level meeting convened by MLAs Kulwant Singh Pandori, Jai Kishan Singh Rodi and Manjit Singh Bilaspur.

Warmly welcoming them into the party, the AAP leaders said that today the people of Punjab are seeing the Aam Aadmi Party as their only ray of hope.

Om Prakash Gabbar, had first become the councillor from Amritsar on a SAD ticket. Later in 2017, he shifted to Congress and contested the local body elections on their ticket. Now, looking at the massive response that the Aam Aadmi Party was getting in the region, Gabbar has joined the party fold.

He was also the Chairman of Bhagwan Valmiki Dhuna Sahib Management Trust which manages the Ram Tirth Mandir at Amritsar. He is a well known face among the Valmiki community.

Meanwhile other eminent people and associates who joined the AAP were Sahib Singh, district president, Labour Cell (Congress), J.S Bindra, retired bank officer, Tarsem Singh Ranike, Manjit Singh Wadali, Boota Singh Sangatpura, Nishan Singh Grinding, Mazar Singh, Mani, Raj Kumar and Kanhaiya of Blue City and Dharam Pal.

On the occasion, the AAP leaders said that more and more people were willing to join the party because they see AAP as the only credible alternative that can change politics in the state and make the lives of the people better.

“With the joining of such personalities, the strength of the AAP is set to increase manifold for the upcoming assembly elections,” they added.
