Gurdev Singh Brar, IAS (Retd) has been unanimously elected as the president of Sikh Educational Society, Chandigarh.
The unanimous decision to elect him as president was taken at a general body meeting of the society held at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women in Sector 26. Brar was elected for a five-year term.
The members of the Society authorized him to nominate the other office-bearers of the society.
Brar nominated Er Kulbir Singh as vice-president, Col. (Retd) Jasmer Singh Bala as the Secretary and Advocate Karandeep Singh Cheema as the Joint Secretary of the Society.
Sikh Educational Society runs eight educational institutions in Punjab and Chandigarh.
