In a major achievement, first of the its kind 66 KV Sub Station at Sultanpur Lodhi to soon provide the under ground electricity supply before the 550thParkash Purab celebration as all kind of administrative formalities and trial run was successfully completed by the PSPCL.
MLA Sultanpur Lodhi, Navtej Singh Cheema said that to ensure the uninterrupted electricity supply for Sultanpur city as well as 550th Parkash Purab celebrations, the new sub- station was set up near Arya Smaj Chowk within 1.8 acre with the cost of Rs. 12 Crore.
It may be mentioned here that the electricity supply from this sub-station would be supplied underground to the city. He also said that Punjab Government has arranged three tier electricity supply during the 15 days long celebrations from 220 KV sub-station at Jhal Lai wala and 66 KV sub station at Pandori Jagir.
